Angel Haze - Summertime Sadness (Lana Del Rey Cover)

I have to confess that I'm not too sure why I didn't post this yesterday - particularly as I'd downloaded it and listened to it...a lot, but oh well! Detroit rapper (and now songstress) Angel Haze has spent the bulk of the last month freestyling and covering big tracks of the moment, ranging from Miley Cyrus to Kendrick Lamar, and she's delivered on each and every one.

Yesterday she released her version of "Summertime Sadness", which was originally from Lana Del Rey's début Born to Die and more recently blasted in nightclubs and all over radio stations, thanks to the Cedric Gervais remix. Haze displays her talent as a vocalist again on this track, managing to deliver spot on vocals over a drum beat and simple piano sound.

Angel Haze is proving to be more than the one trick pony that some have claimed her to be, and this is another massive step in the right direction. Dirty Gold, her début, is due out soon.
