Dance super-pairing Duck Sauce have gifted their Duck Droppings EP to their fans for free! The duo of Armand Van Helden and A-Trak, famous for their hit 'Barbra Streisand' amongst others create music under the guise of Duck Sauce simply to make disco house tracks that appeal to club DJs.
They seem to be doing the trick as well, with a line of excellent releases which is set to continue with this 4 track slice of vintage disco delight. All four track's possess unique flair, crafting a different style in each track whilst maintaining their nu-disco sound.
It's a free download so you have nothing to lose! If you listen to one song, make sure it's 'Calamari (Put the Sauce On It)'. Enjoy!

Chromeo - Come Alive (feat. Toro y Moi)
So today is 'Blue Monday', officially the most depressing day of the year. It's the first Monday after the new year, where you're back to work, you've pissed away your wages already and it's probably raining. Well, here in Swansea it's definitely raining.
But don't be disheartened! Instead, have a listen to this - brand new from Chromeo, featuring Toro y Moi! The electro-funk duo, hailing from New York and Montreal enlisted the assistance of chillwave champion Toro y Moi to showcase another one of their tracks from their upcoming LP.
It's proper Chromeo style. Synth-pop electro funk dance joy. Think of summer when you listen to this. It'll make the months feel like seconds.

Strange Talk - Climbing Walls (Viceroy Remix)
Viceroy delivers. Every time. Fresh from turning 25 at the weekend, Austen Afridi (aka Viceroy) has released his final remix of the year, tackling Australian synth-pop band Strange Talk's breakout single, "Climbing Walls". Rising to fame in Australia as a consequence of the triple j Unearthed 2010 competition, the 4-piece from Melbourne are just as adept at creating their own material as they are remixing it!
The original track is absolutely brilliant, and this matches that. Viceroy's mantra is 'Summertime, All The Time', a theme witnessed in his catalogue, with his incredible 'Jet Life Remixes', alongside collaborations with Ghost Beach (While We're In Love, 2012) and French Horn Rebellion (Friday Nights, 2013). This concept is transferred perfectly to Strange Talk's hit, with a synth-filled, summer dance anthem being unveiled... from a synth-filled, summer dance anthem! Viceroy's greatest talent is the ability to squeeze a little bit more summer out of the most bright and exciting songs around, and this really shows here.
So all in all, happy days! Although I speak for all of Strange Talk's British fans when I say that they need to bloody well hurry up and release their stuff digitally in the UK! Grab a FREE download of this while you can from the link below!
And keep an eye in the coming weeks for my 2013 playlist, which will be compiled on here soon!

Clean Bandit - Rather Be (ft. Jess Glynne)

This day just gets even better. Clean Bandit have just unveiled their latest single, with Zane Lowe of Radio 1 giving "Rather Be" its first radio play, as tonight's 'Hottest Record In The World', and it's an absolute cracker. Featuring the vocals of Jess Glynne, they've outdone themselves...again.
The London 4-piece have released a slew of incredible singles in the last couple of years. This latest effort, due to be released January 19th, has everything we adore from the Clean Bandit sound. Dance music with classical instruments, and it's absolutely banging. If you haven't seen them live before, I'd definitely recommend it, you're missing out if you don't.
Haim - Forever (Giorgio Moroder Remix)

Moroder's added an upbeat dance/house beat with plenty of synth magic to a brilliantly summery track, creating an excellent indie-dance sound. With plenty of robot vocals. Haim have broken out and wowed the world this year, releasing a proper 'pop' album that still has rock roots. More next year please ladies!
Bondax - Fires (feat. Josh Record)
Fresh new music from Bondax in the last hour! The electronic duo from Lancaster have just released "Fires", featuring the vocals of Londoner Josh Record, seemingly as their next single. If you've never heard of Bondax, they're an electronic/future garage pairing who have risen to prominence on British airwaves thanks to BBC Introducing, and the championing of their music from Annie Mac and other DJs.
Onto this track! "Fires" is a slowed down, wintery track. It's a lot more chilled than previous releases (Baby I Got That, Gold and Giving It All, for example), but you know it's Bondax straight away. The slow and subtle trap-styled rhythm, combined with the electronic elements we love, with silky vocals layered on top of that make for a gorgeous slice of slowed down indie dance.
There's no release information for this track yet, but it's a good guess to assume that this will be their next single...an album to come next year maybe? With the uprising of dance music sweeping the world all year, we can only hope!

The Other Tribe - Nobody Else
Friday night special delivery! The Other Tribe are back with yet another absolutely brilliant dance track! "Nobody Else" is the track that the Bristolian 5-piece have ended their sets with. These guys make funky indie-dance music that incorporates funky, vintage style synths and disco vibes in a way that screams "UP YOURS" to the mainstream dance genre.
"Nobody Else" continues on this trend, delivering a track full of summer throwbacks, with bongos and a whole array of tropical beats. With a sound similar to Australian dance group RÜFÜS, The Other Tribe have blessed us with a tropical ray of sunshine in an otherwise wet, dark and windy Britain, and it's well worth a listen.

I See MONSTAS - Nowhere

It's incredibly difficult to classify I See MONSTAS under one specific genre as their music is interrelated between different genres. "Nowhere" is a prime example of this - merging between a Toddla T/M+A style piano based intro, with sound effects and echoes, into a much faster electronic dance chorus/drop with a sound just like something produced on OWSLA (their old label). Because it links perfectly between these two styles it's a really nice sounding track, utilising Bryn Christopher's deep vocals throughout. Good stuff.

Flight Facilities - Stand Still (feat. Micky Green)
Flight Facilities are back with a brand new record, and it’s another thriller. Given a world exclusive airing on triple j on Monday morning/Sunday night (ah, the joys of listening to breakfast radio at 11pm), “Stand Still” is a joy to listen to.
Featuring vocals from Australian artist Micky Green, “Stand Still” is a fun, upbeat indie dance track that incorporates aspects reminiscent of all previous Flight Facilities tracks - sound effects, excellent rhythm and the use of previously lesser-known artists (Micky Green, Giselle, Jess, Christine Hoberg and Grovesnor to name a few).
Have a listen, it’s due to be released on November 22nd off the Future Classic label.
Bonus! Have a listen to the Com Truise remix of 'Stand Still' from the remix EP below (Spotify needed):

AlunaGeorge - You Know You Like It (Tchami Remix)
Emerging Parisian sensation Tchami is back with another excellent remix, this time it's AlunaGeorge's hit "You Know You Like It". Naturally a slightly slower and relaxed track, Tchami's totally transformed this into a gorgeous deep house track that's a joy to listen to. The only thing the same as the original is the fact it's sung by Aluna.
This has been out a month and has so far amassed 285,000 plays on Soundcloud...quite a feat for someone who's relatively unknown in some parts. Came to my attention with an excellent remix of Janet Jackson's "Go Deep", another totally transformed-but-totally-epic dance remix. I urge you to listen...vamos!

Bauuer & RL Grime - Infinite Daps (+ The Hood Internet Mashup)
Two names of dance and trap music that you'll probably be familiar with have teamed up to create a new track. It rocks. He of Harlem Shake fame, Bauuer (although bear in mind he hates that song) and RL Grime, who you might know from stunning remixes of Kanye West and Benny Benassi have teamed up to create "Infinite Daps", a new trap track that'll be featured on the DANCE (RED) SAVES LIVES 2 compilation album.
"Infinite Daps" brings the best of both producers together to create a fantastic new sound - this was actually created between the duo on a tour bus during their tour with Ryan Hemsworth and Jim-E Stack. It's available for a free download for 48 hours on Soundcloud, and will be released again for the RED compilation.
RED (a charity) aim to build awareness about the global fight against AIDS and do some amazing work to try and help those in need. The compilation album is out on November 25th and costs £8.99 on iTunes - £7.20 of this goes towards the Global Fund.
Update: The Hood Internet have released a new mashup, combining Drake's "Started From The Bottom" with "Infinite Daps", making a pretty well worked mix. I'm not a particularly big Drake fan (I think the covers of "Hold On..." are better than the original), but this is good. Stream and download below.

Kele Okereke - Heartbreaker

Lending his incredible vocal talent to Sub Focus for the hugely successful "Turn It Around" earlier this year, as well as collaborating with RAC and MNDR, Kele's moved towards the house/dance scene with the unveiling of his new single "Heartbreaker", which is due to be released end of November/start of December on the Crosstown Records label.
I don't need to say anything about the track. Have a listen below.

Gorgon City - Ready For Your Love (feat. MNEK)
Radio-god Zane Lowe gave the world its first listen to the new Gorgon City track, featuring vocals from the mercurially talented MNEK, who's been making a bit of a racket with other electronic/dance artists including Sub Focus and Rudimental, and it's an absolute banger. Can't even put into words just how good this track is!
With rave reviews for "Real" earlier this year and a lot of love for their Intentions EP (a collaborative effort with Clean Bandit), they're back for another round. "Ready For Your Love" is a proper house/dance tune. Ain't even started yet...ain't even started yet...listen to the Zane Lowe radio rip below.

What So Not - Touched
Released literally minutes ago, here's a brand new track from Sydney trap/electronic collaborators What So Not. Consisting of Chris Emerson (aka Emoh Instead) and Harley Streten (aka Flume, or Flerm depending on which part of the internet you're on), the duo gained major support throughout 2013 following the release of The Quack EP and particularly the Branchez remix of "High You Are".
"Touched" is a track that was first conceived in WSN's first-ever recording session in Streten's bedroom studio - three years ago! The duo state that "it feels symbolic that three years on we find ourselves coming full circle to finish this same song we started that very first day."
What So Not is about giving people the opportunity to follow and listen to something a little bit different (their words), and they do just that - their sound is a breath of fresh air when it comes to the entire trap/dance/electronic super-genre at the moment. And that can only be a good thing, right?

The 1975 - Girls (The Knocks Remix)
I don't think I can put into words just how much I adore The 1975. Ever since I heard their music for the first time I've been absolutely transfixed by the sound they make. Every big track from their EPs has been a seriously catchy tune (The City, Sex, Chocolate), and the wait for the album release was basically unbearable - loads of my friends and I were absolutely buzzing for it!
The latest single from the self-titled début album is set to be "Girls". It's a cheeky little track about the totally confusing other gender, and it's everything we've come to love from the band. Matt Healy's voice always works on every track, it has a quality sound as well - guitars, drums, the whole lot. "Girls" is up there with "Settle Down", "Chocolate" and the re-release of "Sex" as my favourite tracks on the album.
Now, to the actual track we're showcasing here! The Knocks are remix kings, in the same league as Monsieur Adi without a shadow of a doubt. They're dance pros. So when I found out that The Knocks had remixed The 1975, I was in absolute dreamland! They've done an absolutely cracking job as well, giving a new lease of life to an already excellent track. I love the addition of the piano in the background and the increased tempo of the track - for me personally, it sounded like an excellent blend of Madeon's "Raise Your Weapon" remix (for deadmau5) and the Bodhi remix of "Good Vibrations" (Marky Mark and the Funky Bunch) - two remixes I love by two talented artists/groups. Good job boys!
For the meantime, you can download this remix for FREE! :O from The 1975's Soundcloud page. If you don't, you're an imbecile.

Disclosure - Apollo
Brand new material from Disclosure this afternoon, the first since the release of Settle, undoubtedly one of the albums of the summer for dance and house music! After slaying most of the world with collaborations from AlunaGeorge, London Grammar, Eliza Dolittle, Ed McFarlane, Sam Smith and Jessie Ware as well as a load more, the brothers from London are back for more!
"Apollo" is a big bass-filled track, perfect for the later end of a mental party, or the warm-up for one! With echoing vocals, an awesome house beat and slick synths, this is a sign that Settle wasn't a fluke and sends good signals to the future.

Ed Zealous - Telepaths
Phil Taggart adores this band. He's been quoted as saying that "if you don't...we can no longer be friends" and I'd absolutely have to agree with him! It's been an awesome few weeks for Ed Zealous fans - the new single "Thanks a Million" was released at the start of the week, their début album has been announced, and now fans have been introduced to their new upcoming single "Telepaths", which is due for release on November 18th!
"Telepaths" is the next in a long line of dance anthems from the boys from Belfast. Incorporating the sounds we've come to know and love (synths, drums, samples and an absolutely mental background guitar sound), they'll have you "dancing on the ceiling" and it'll be for good reason. If you've never listened to Ed Zealous, you need to start right now. If you're a big fan of indietronica, you'll love this - it's got a seriously in-your-face vibe...and it's mental.
Listen to "Telepaths" here (from 17:55): Phil Taggart and Alice Levine - BBC Radio 1
Listen to "Telepaths" directly from the Ed Zealous Soundcloud page here.
Pre-order "Telepaths" here: iTunes
Listen to "Thanks A Million" here: Guerrilla Stereo
The début album, Wired, is set for release at the start of February.

Duke Dumont - Need U (100%) ft. A*M*E (Amtrac Remix)
Just the other day I compared Amtrac to Duke Dumont and today he's remixed him! Have a listen to his remix of the chart-topping hit, "Need You (100%)" - it's a brilliant house-infused dance track that transforms the feel of the track. Another epic remix from the Kentucky-based producer, this time coming in at just under six and a half minutes, this has a little bit of a late-night trance feel to it as well, so it ticks all the boxes!
Grab a free download from Amtrac's Soundcloud page and check out his remix of The Swiss' "Kiss To Kiss" here.
Blende - Rikki (French Horn Rebellion Remix)
Lovely new remix by French Horn Rebellion to share with you all! Remixing Blende's "Rikki" (a track that's been on repeat for the last week or so) - they've created a funky indie-dance hit with a fresh electronic sound but they've kept the vocals the same. It's a fresh new take on a wicked song!
You can buy the remix package for "Rikki" on Beatport now! Featuring remixes from Moonlight Matters, Phonat, Le Crayon, these total lads and Majestique, you'd be mad not to buy it! Listen to the original here, and listen to the new FHR track "Caaalifornia (ft. Ghost Beach)" here!
