Tennis - Mean Streets

These "Mean Streets" don't actually sound as rough when Alaina Moore is singing! Tennis are back with a brand new single, taken off of their forthcoming Small Sound EP (out November 5th) and it's a good'un! The band have just signed to Communion Music (co-run by Ben Lovett of Mumford and Sons) and will hit the road next month as part of the 'Communion Presents' tour, travelling across America with Savoir Adore, ON AN ON and Night Sweats.

"Mean Streets" is a wonderfully lazy track, perfect for throwback Sundays where you can just kick up and relax. For some reason the track has a colonial French feel (to me at least) with sounds that wouldn't go amiss in a Phoenix track or a classical French manor scene (...I think). With slow drums, fast pianos and the obligatory keyboard, this sounds fresh. Enjoy.
