With a sound that isn't dissimilar to the styles of Klaxons, Friendly Fires and Theme Park, BBC have outdone themselves with a shift into a new direction with what sounds (to me) like an intensely atmospheric sound, with crashing cymbals, drums and some brilliant electronic elements thrown in as well.
Jack Steadman's vocals have only gotten better since their 2009 début, I Had The Blues But I Shook Them Loose, and they slot into the music perfectly here. Released alongside an absolutely brilliant interactive video (watch now at carryme.tv), this is a fantastic comeback and a true statement of intent for 2014. High up the line-up at Reading and Leeds next year?
